When a dynamic increment table is in place (i.e. your increments follow a set table or pattern), the autobids that can be placed are determined by those increments.
How It Works
When a user clicks ‘Place Autobid’, they are presented with a dropdown list of available autobid amounts based on the current increment table:
This list may contain up to 100 options for the bidder to choose from:
Webcast Pre-Bidding Phase
For dynamic increments to function correctly during the Webcast pre-bidding phase, you must ensure that:
The Manual Increments tickbox is NOT selected in the Webcast Console:
If Manual Increments is unselected:
Bidders will only be able to choose from the dropdown list of increment-based values:
If Manual Increments is selected:
Bidders will be able to type any amount into the bid field:
⚠️ Please note:
This setting only applies during the pre-bidding phase of the webcast. Once the webcast is live, bidders can type in any commission amount within the bid box. However, this bid is not placed automatically, it will need to be triggered by the clerk.
Important System Behaviour
The Manual Increments setting applies across all auctions.
If you disable it for one auction, you must re-enable it before closing the console if you want manual increments to remain available for future auctions.
If you are unsure whether your auction is using dynamic increments, please contact [email protected] for clarification.
