Auto increments can be used for both timed and webcast auctions. They must be entered into the system using a specific format. (You can find an increment builder attached at the bottom of this article.)
Increments must be entered in their smallest denomination (e.g. pence for GBP, cents for USD, etc.). The increment builder will format this for you accordingly.
Example: Auto Increment Table in Bidlogix
Auto Increment in Bidlogix (in pence) | Bid increment explanation |
1000<20000 | up to 200, increment is 10 |
2000<50000 | from 200 -500, increment is is 20 |
5000<100000 | from 500 -1000 increment is 50 |
10000<200000 | from 1000 - 2000, increment is 100 |
20000<500000 | from 2000-5000 , increment is 200 |
50000<1000000 | from 5000-10000, increment is 500 |
100000 | from 10000 onwards increment is 1,000 |
How to Add Your Increments
Create your increment table using the builder at the bottom of this page by filling in the From, To, and Increment columns.
Select and copy the contents of the column labelled ‘Bidlogix Auto-Increments’.
Apply Increments in the Auctioneer Settings
Now you will need to edit your Auctioneer settings. Click here to see how you access your auctioneer settings.
Go to the Main Settings tab.
Scroll down to the Bidding section.
Paste your pre-formatted increments into the Auto Increments field.
🔔 Important:
The last increment must be a number only (e.g. 100000
), not a range.
If your table ends with a range (e.g. 10000<1000000
), remove the <
and everything after it.
4. If using auto increments for timed auctions, tick the checkbox below the Auto Increments field.
5. Click Save Auctioneer on either the top or bottom of the screen.
🔧 You may need to enable auto increments in the webcast console for them to take effect in webcast auctions.
Please Note
Decimalised bidding is supported in webcast auctions, but not in timed auctions.
Timed auctions only support whole values, so the minimum increment must be 1 of your selected currency (e.g. 1 pound).
Switching between manual and dynamic increments in the webcast console may cause other webcast auctions to switch as well—even if they are still in pre-bidding.
