How to Red Flag a User

Red flagging a user allows you to mark potentially problematic users for others within your organisation. This alert helps other admins quickly identify users who may require special attention.

⚠️ Please note: Red flagging does not prevent a user from performing any actions on the site. If you need to restrict user access or activity, consider locking or suspending their account.


Steps to Red Flag a User...

Through the User’s Profile

  1. Log into the admin area.

  2. Go to Users & Groups > Users on the left menu.

  3. Find the user (Use Modify Filter to locate the user if needed).

  4. Click on their username to open their profile.

  5. Click the Edit tab.

  6. Tick the Red Flagged? box.

  7. A pop-up audit box will appear — enter the reason for red-flagging the user.

  8. Click Ok.

  9. Click Save.

OR

From the User List View

  1. Log into the admin area.

  2. Go to Users & Groups > Users on the left menu.

  3. Find the user (Use Modify Filter to locate the user if needed).

  4. Click on the flag icon under the Red Flag column.

  5. A pop-up audit box will appear — enter the reason for red-flagging the user.

  6. Click Ok.

  7. Click Save.


Where the Red Flag Appears

Once saved, the Red Flag icon will be visible next to their username on various admin screens — including the Registrants and Invoices screens for auctions — making it easy for your team to identify flagged accounts.


How to Remove a Red Flag from a User

You can de-red flag a user by:

  • Unticking the Red Flagged? box from the Edit tab,
    or

  • Clicking on the flag icon in the User Management screen.
