During a webcast auction, you can send real-time messages to public users using the Announcement box at the bottom of the Webcast console.
You can message everyone or just the winning bidder.
To Send an Item Message to the Public
Enter your message in the Announcement box
Select:
Item
Standard
Everyone
Click the Internet button to trigger the message
The message will appear above the current item being sold in the Webcast:
To Remove the Current Item Message
Clear the text in the Announcement box
Click the Internet button again
⚠️ Please note:
Item messages are automatically cleared when the next item is sent into the ring.
To Send an Auction Message to the Public
Type your message in the Announcement box
Select:
Auction
Standard
Everyone
Click the Internet button to trigger the message
The message will appear below the auction title in the Webcast page:
To Remove the Current Auction Message
Clear the text in the Announcement box
Click the Internet button again
⚠️ Please note:
Auction messages are NOT auto-cleared between items.
To Send Popup Messages to the Public
⚠️ Please note:
Popup messages can only be sent when “Item” is selected.
The messages display temporarily or until the user closes them.
Enter your popup message in the Announcement box
Select:
Item
Popup
Everyone
Click the Internet button to trigger the message.
You can send multiple popup messages by clicking the Internet button multiple times (as shown below).
The message will appear on the right top side of the Webcast page in blue:
To Send a Message to the Currently Winning Bidder Only
Enter your message in the Announcement box
Select the message type:
Popup or Standard
Item or Auction
Make sure Winning is selected
Click the Internet button to trigger the message.
The message will appear only for the current highest bidder.
To Remove the Message for the Winning Bidder
Clear the message text from the Announcement box
Click the Internet button again
