To place bids in an auction, users must be both registered AND approved.
You may also wish to request a deposit or ask for additional information β either before or during the auction.
β οΈ Please note:
BidJS does not currently support payment gateways, so deposits cannot be collected directly through the system.
Instead, please use the Request Further Information option and contact support with the content you'd like included in the email sent to the user.
Requesting a Deposit Before Approving a User
Log into the admin.
Go to Auctions & Items > View Auctions.
Click on the auction title.
Click the Registrants button in the top menu.
Alternatively:
From the View Auctions screen, click the Pending link under the Bidders column.
Then:
Use Modify Filter to ensure Pending registrants are visible.
Find the user, scroll to the far right and locate the Actions column, which is the last.
Click Request Deposit.
π‘ Deposit amounts and response messaging are managed at the Auctioneer level.
Requesting a Deposit During an Auction
If needed, you can request an increased deposit during the auction.
Log into the admin area.
Go to Auctions & Items > View Auctions.
Click the relevant auction title.
Click the Registrants button in the top menu.
Alternatively:
From the View Auctions screen, click the Approved link under the Bidders column.
Then:
Scroll to the Actions column for the relevant user.
Click Request Deposit.
Requesting Further Information
To ask for additional details instead of a deposit:
Follow the same steps listed above, but click Request Further Information instead of Request Deposit.
