The TENDER purchase option allows bidders to make offers for a particular listing based on the number of units (e.g. 450 Tonnes) stated.

Users make their offer based on the whole amount of units but input their offers based on the single unit of measure (e.g. per tonne).

For example, in the images below the admin has created an item with 450 tonnes of scrap tin. Users are then able to place an offer for each tonne:

Using the example above, within the item creation the admin user has specified:

Just like all other Make Offer type purchase options within the bidlogix system, admins can reject or accept TENDER offers in either the Offer Table or Bid table (see images below):

The TENDER_PCT purchase option allows bidders to make offers against a listing based on the percentage discount of a specified market (such as The London Metal Exchange) value they are prepared to pay.

Users make their offer based on the whole amount of units advertised but rather than inputting offers of a monetary value they enter a percentage amount (whole values or decimals).

For example, in the images below the admin has created an item with 50 tonnes of scrap steel and stated that the percentage discount should be made against the current LME price.

Using the example above, within the item creation the admin user has specified:

When Public users place an offer against a TENDER or TENDER_PCT listing they will see how many offers they have made and how many remain beneath the Tender button. Upon clicking the Tender button

users will also see the actual amounts they have submitted within the Customer's Offer Dialogue Window (see images below):

Once a customer has entered the maximum amount of offers allowed by the auctioneer the Tender button will automatically be converted to View Offers. Upon clicking this button they will see all offers submitted

Just like all other Make Offer type purchase options within the bidlogix system, admins can reject or accept TENDER offers in either the Offer Table or Bid table. However, unlike the traditional Make Offer purchase options, whereby bidders can only make further offers of increased values, TENDER and TENDER_PCT allow bidders to make offers of higher and/or lower values depending on the type of purchase option utilised.

If a Tender Offer has been accepted the user will instantly see the lot box notification bar change to Green and a message of "Your offer of £XX per Tonne was accepted." (for example) will be displayed. (see image below):

Please Note

If an offer is accepted by an admin, within the Bid and Offer tables they will be marked as TENDER_ACCEPTED.

A user who has one or all offers rejected will not see a change to the front end lot box view. They will however see which of their offer is rejected by clicking on either the Tender or View Offers button to open Customer's Offer Dialogue Window and they will also receive an email to advise when each offer is rejected.

Please Note
