Default Behaviour
When your auction has more than six lots, images on the auction calendar display based on lot order. This means the first image from each lot is used to create the image preview grid.
⚠️ Please note:
If any items are featured, their first image will appear before others, regardless of lot number.
3 Lots, 1 Image per Lot
If your auction contains fewer than four lots, and each lot has only one image, the system will show those three images — and leave an empty space at the end of the row.
3 Lots, Multiple Images
With fewer than four lots where some lots have multiple images, the display logic works as follows:
The first image of each lot appears first
Then the second image of each lot (if available)
Then the third, and so on...
2 Lots, Multiple Images, with a Featured Item
If you have fewer than four lots and one of them is featured, the order changes slightly:
The featured lot’s first image appears first
Then, the first image from the non-featured lot
Then, the second image from each lot
Then the third image from each lot, etc.
In short: Featured status overrides lot order, but all other logic follows the same image-by-image pattern.
Summary
The preview image display on the auction calendar is determined by a combination of:
Lot order
Featured item status
Number of images per lot
Here’s how it works:
Featured item images come first
Then lot order takes priority
Within each lot, images are shown in numerical order (first image, then second, etc.)
