Commonly Used Purchase Options

The most commonly used Purchase Options for item uploads are:

  • NONE

  • BUY_NOW

  • MAKE_OFFER

There are other purchase options available such as Tender and Transfer.

There are restrictions on the purchase options available for different item types.

How to Enter a Purchase Option when Creating an Item

  • Fill in the Purchase Option column

  • Fill in the corresponding columns with required information (unavailable columns will be shaded out)

  • If you have filled in a cell that is not allowed for this purchase option, it will turn red and an error symbol will appear. Hover the mouse over the warning symbol to see details of the error, as shown below:

  • Any errors must be corrected before the items can be saved (unless they are in Ghost status).

There are restrictions on the purchase options available for different item types.

How to Enter a Purchase Option when Bulk Creating Items

  • Download an empty spreadsheet from the Bulk Create screen

  • Fill in the Purchase Option column of the spreadsheet

  • Fill in the corresponding columns with required information

  • Be aware that not all fields are available for all purchase options.

  • When you upload the items, any errors will be highlighted in red and an error symbol will appear. Hover over the symbol to see the details of the error. These errors must be corrected before the items can be saved (unless they are in Ghost status).

How to Edit a Purchase Option for an Existing Item

  • Click Auctions & Items > View Auctions

  • Click the Title of your auction

  • Click the blue Items button on the top right hand side

  • Click the Tickbox next to the item you wish to add Make offer option

  • Click the grey Draft button and click Confirm

  • When the item is in Draft status, then click the grey Bulk Edit button

  • Scroll right to the Purchase Option column

  • Select MAKE_OFFER from the list

  • (You can enter a Purchase Price if required)

  • Click the green Save And Finish button

  • Click the Tickbox next to the item again

  • Click Approve and then Confirm to make the item Live again

Purchase Type: NONE

  • NONE - No purchase option selected (if selected Item Type Lots will only have a bid button, Item Type Listing will have no ability to purchase)

Purchase Type: BUY_NOW

BUY_NOW - When BUY_NOW is applied to item types Lot or Listing a Buy Now button will appear in the lot box that enables bidders to purchase the item immediately (see example of Item Type Lot with Buy Now functionality below):

Note that this purchase will be visible in the Bid Table.

Purchase Type: MAKE_OFFER

MAKE_OFFER - When MAKE_OFFER is applied to Item types Lot Or Listing a Make Offer button will appear that enables bidders to submit offers (defaulted to 3 offers per item by a specific user) to the auction house that can then be rejected or accepted by the Auctioneer (see example of item type LOT with Make Offer functionality below):

The user will then be told that their offer is pending via a pop-up:

They can also track their offers by either clicking the 'You have 1 pending offer' button or by clicking Make Offer again. They will be resented with a list of previous offers and their current status:

Once an offer has been received a designated admin can receive email correspondence to alert them to the new offer. To add a member of your team to these notifications please contact [email protected]

  • To accept or reject an offer please first navigate to the admin area of bidlogix.

  • Upon first logging into the admin area, any pending offers will be displayed in the Actions Required table. To navigate to the Offer Table from the Actions Required table directly simply click on the number shown in the Pending Offers column that correlates to the relevant auction.

What happens when a User Makes an Offer?

When a user makes an offer, this will appear in the Offers Table. To access the Offers table:

  • Login to Admin

  • Go to Auctions & Items > View Auctions

  • Locate your Auction in the list and click the blue Offer Table button in the Actions column, as shown below:

  • When the Offer table opens, click on the blue text at the end of the row to show the offers:

  • You will see any offers made by users and be able to accept or reject those offers.

  • You can also find the Offer Table by going to Auctions & Items > View Auctions, click on your auction Title and click the Blue Offer Table button in the top right have corner

How to Accept/Reject an Offer

  • Navigate to the Offer Table (see above)

  • Click Accept or Reject next to the appropriate offer, as shown below:

  • The item's derived status will change to SOLD_MAKE_OFFER as shown below:

  • Note that you can also accept/reject offers from the bid table.

Bid Table

The Bid Table shows any and all bids and offers for items during an auction and pre-bidding. From here the admin can cancel bids and autobids, for example.
