Auctions can have different statuses throughout their lifecycle. This document explains each status and what it means.

Statuses Overview

  • Draft

  • Preview

  • Live

  • Reconciliation

  • Archive

Draft

An auction in Draft status can be saved at any time, even if not all required information has been completed.
Auctions in this state are not visible to the public.

Preview

An auction in Preview status is fully prepared to go live but is not yet visible to the public—even if some of its items are Live.

Live

An auction in Live status will be publicly visible only if it contains Live items.

The available actions for Live auctions include:

Reconciliation

An auction in Reconciliation status means that all items have closed, and invoicing is now possible or in progress.

  • You can no longer edit bids or items

  • You can now create invoices, mark items as paid, and mark items as collected

  • The auction is now publicly visible in the Past Auctions section on the front-end auction website, if you have that page set up

The available actions for Reconciliation auctions include:

⚠️ Please Note:

  • If any items have been suspended, they must be withdrawn before the auction can be fully reconciled.

  • Reconciling an auction is not reversible, so ensure all required changes are made beforehand.

Archive

An auction in Archive status has had all invoicing completed.
It remains publicly visible in the Past Auctions menu.

The available actions for Archived auctions include:
