We advise verifying the user’s email address outside of the software before manually activating their account.
One simple way to do this is to ask the user to send you an email — this helps confirm the address is valid and free from typos.
Check if a User is Already Activated
When a user creates an account, they receive an email with an activation link.
If they’ve completed this step, you’ll see “Yes” next to the Account Activated? field in the user’s Summary tab.
If they haven’t, you’ll see a tick box allowing you to activate the account manually in the Edit tab.
Steps to Activate a User Account:

Once an account is activated, it cannot be deactivated.
Log in to the admin area
Go to Users & Groups > Users from the menu bar
Locate and click on the username of the user
Click the Edit tab
Tick the Account Activated? box
An audit box will appear – tick “Activating the account because” and write the reason for activation
👉 Tip: We recommend noting that you’ve confirmed receipt of an email from the user for future reference
Click Ok
Click Save
